Application of Hopper Granulate Dryer
This simple and economic device is suitable for the after drying of thermoplastic granules. It shortens the plastification process. The hopper size is designed for the maximum passage time of the granulate in the hot air current.
The G 40 to G 140 Hopper Granulate Dryers are mounted on the throat of an injection moulding machine or an extruder. The air exit tube is above the material filler pipe. The warm air blower uses filtered fresh air and heats it up to a temperature between 60 up to 200°C. The granulate is accordingly dried in relatively short time depending on pre-heat. An additional circulating air temperature protection (permanently set at 235°C) protects the dryer against overheating.
The types G 40 to G 90 are available with optional hinged lid (types DGT 40 to DGT 90). With these types the hinged lid is attached to the supply pipe.
The tube length “B” is to be chosen so that the granulate can trickle through between Hopper border and distributor rim.
Our guarantee does not necessaraly cover failure in service as we have no control or influence over operating conditions. We also except no responsibilty for subsequential loss!
