Cast Heaters produced by gravity and sand
die-casting are available in different shapes, suitable for assembly in
screen changers or cylindrically closed filter systems.
The cylindrical shape with two half shells is ideal for heating extruder barrels. The plate or angular shape finds its use in tool heating and Cast Film Die Heaters. The flat Cast Heater finds application on slot dies and with profiles for vacuum forming on packaging machines. Special profiles for other shapes can also be produced.
All construction types can have additional outer insulation. The cylindrical construction balances frictional heat with the heat cool combinations (air or liquid cooling) This allows optimum heating and control of the process (e. g. extrusion) and an even temperature distribution.
